has opened for business, to help companies successfully take
advantage of China as a purchasing resource, manufacturing base
or marketing destination.
Founder and President William W. Sinn was born in Hong Kong, moving
to the U.S. in 1972 to attend college. He received degrees in mechanical
engineering from the University of Wisconsin and University of
Michigan, and an MBA in finance and management from Eastern Michigan
University.
After beginning his career with General Motors, Sinn joined Campbell
Hausfeld Company from 1983 to 1995. Moved through engineering ranks
he eventually assumed the position of Director of Asia/Pacific
Operations. To gain more in depth knowledge about China, he returned
there and worked as General Manager of Sullair Corporation's China
joint venture from 1995 to 1998. Sinn then returned to the US and
was Vice President of Marketing and International Operations for
Cleveland-based Actron Manufacturing from 1999 to 2004, overseeing
their north China subsidiary and establishing a China and Pacific
Rim supply network.
Sinn takes U.S. businesses safely though obstacles most non-Chinese
consultants might not see. He has operated Chinese/US joint ventures
in China and can effectively communicate American standards to
off shore workers. As an engineer, he recognizes the issues that
can impact design and manufacturing. An experienced marketing professional,
he understands U.S. business structure and strategies.
William Sinn resides in Shaker Heights with his wife Judith and
daughter, See-Mae (Michelle).
